Liver Cleansing Food


The liver is a remarkable organ of the body. It also has the task of taking up a lot of slack, especially because it performs cleaning duties. To this end, it does us a lot of good to once in a while eat food that go a long way to clean out the liver. Some foods that help you do that first, are garlic. This is an herb that luckily everyone likes to eat. It's very common. Nevertheless, if you want to take this at a therapeutic level, you should buy some bulbs at the grocery store. Then just slice some off every morning. What some people do is take a slice, drop it in some orange juice, and then drink it down.  If this is too exotic for you, you can go to a health food store, and buy some garlic capsules.

Next, you can eat vegetables, such as broccoli, and cabbage. Both of these are extremely easy to come by at any grocery store. Brussel sprouts fall in this list also. They are good for cleaning out the liver, and for protecting the liver from tabacco smoke. Next, you will want to eat bitter greens, such as kale, endive, or chickory. These help to make bile, and bile helps to break down the fat in the liver. You could drink a simple lemon tea. This is made with fresh lemon juice and some hot water. Many people swear by this as a liver flush, and a fat flush as well. You should drink this first thing in the morning before you eat.
